Custom Tours

  • While our focus is on birding in north-central Colorado in spring, summer & fall, we can modify one of our existing day trip Tour Options or create a custom multi-day tour for you or your small group.
  • A number of factors go into creating a custom birding tour including travel times (Colorado is a big state!), group size, trip length, likelihood of finding specific target birds, potential weather conditions at the requested time of year, and more.  We will respond as quickly as we can about the feasibility of your request.
  • Does your organization want to offer a group tour to Colorado?  We can help you with the planning and logistics and co-lead your group with you.

To request a custom tour, please complete the form below. The more you can tell us about your interests and needs, the better we can respond.

You can also reach us by phone at: (720) 588-9667 or by email

CUSTOM MULTI-DAY TRIPS

If one of our existing Tour Options doesn't meet your needs, we are happy to design a custom multi-day trip for you.

Whether you have a list of specific birds you'd like to see, particular locations to visit, or just want a relaxing bird's-eye tour of Colorado's stunning scenery, we can create a memorable adventure to fit.

Please complete the form on this page and we'll respond quickly, or just contact us.

Does your bird club or nature center offer birding tours?

Let us help you plan a fantastic summer trip to Colorado for your group!

Many tour companies offer tours in April, usually ten days with a lot of time spent in the van as they circle the entire state to find grouse, ptarmigan and prairie chickens.  We can help you offer a shorter summer trip including visits to Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), the fascinating Pawnee National Grasslands, and many of the Colorado specialty birds:

  • More time birding--less time driving
  • Great weather
  • Lower overall cost than the April "chicken tours"
  • Flexible planning (select your preferred dates, itinerary, hotels and restaurants)
  • Trail Ridge Road in RMNP usually opens around Memorial Day allowing us to easily explore the unique alpine tundra
  • For non-profit organizations, we can help you plan this as a cultivation/fundraising experience for your key constituents
