Birds of the Coffee Triangle
August 20 – September 3, 2026
Tour description: With WildVida Expeditions, we will embark on an unforgettable 14-night adventure through Colombia’s Coffee Triangle, one of the most biodiverse and secure regions in the country. This tour will take you through both the Western and Central Andes, exploring a variety of life zones—from the lush Pacific foothills to the misty cloud forests and high-altitude páramo. While birding will be our primary focus, we’ll also have the chance to explore other facets of biodiversity, including mammals, butterflies, orchids, reptiles, and amphibians. Along the way, we’ll dive into the region’s rich cultural heritage by sampling local cuisine, visiting charming colonial towns, and taking a guided coffee tour to learn about the world-renowned coffee production of the region. With a relaxed pace, you’ll have plenty of time to fully soak in the beautiful landscapes and enjoy unforgettable wildlife sightings in this extraordinary part of the world.
